2013 was a big year for FANUC. Not only were they on Forbes most innovative list again, but they have released several products to make their CNC machines more efficient. They introduced FASCOPC to the world, an OPC server designed to make retrieving production data from your CNC machine easy. FANUC also became more environmentally friendly by creating a rechargeable battery unit kit. This new kit eliminates the use of disposable batteries and results in no machine downtime for changing dead batteries. Months later, FANUC simplified automation solutions by launching a new CNC and robot integrated automotive architecture with connectivity to Rockwell Automation control environments.

This solution was designed to further open interconnectivity between their CNC machines and factory automation solutions. Finally, FANUC ended the year by merging all of their operations in the Americas, creating a single corporation named FANUC America Corporation, headquartered in Rochester Hills, Michigan. This is another way FANUC is trying to increase their ability to support customers, and they are doing so by creating and supplying the most complete range of innovative services and products for CNC systems, robotics, and factory automation solutions in their industry. Now FANUC has started off the New Year with one of their own receiving an outstanding award. The 2014 Women in Manufacturing STEP Award was given to their Laser/Fabrication Program Manager, Liz Kautzmann.
